Trying... however with a wife and 3 I'm rarely in charge of my own destiny lol. Idaho is for sure, and I'm trying for OTR.

Finally! It freaking runs. Time for total assembly then tuning.

Test fit the 50's they are spot on travel wise I'll get some photos up as it goes together. Gonna yank the hard lines out of the car and go flexible. Kicked one this evening and kinked it and it was in a thought I'd never have believed I would get with my foot!

3/16 SS hard lines are very stiff compared to flex lines. If they are in an area with gravel spray, move them or shield them.

I have never seen the benefit of going to a vastly more expensive, much more flexible/spongy , and much more prone to wear brake system.

I know what he's talking about though . I stumbled inside my 96 one time and stepped right on the loop of hardline looping up and going down into the handbrake master.
It was a combination of clumsiness and bad routing..

Can't cure clumsiness so gotta cure the routing

Starter was toast. Tested great on the bench tester too... put in the new starter and she sounds freaking awesome. just shy of 200 rpm cranking speed.

Robert, my brake lines are fine, its the fuel lines that I kicked and kinked. found a bunch of fittings and 15' of -6 line for 80 Bucks... which is like 20$ more than the hard lines and fittings cost in the first place.

10-4 on the fittings and lines. That's a super good deal.

First drive (all 100 yards of it) went of without a hitch. Throttle response is awesome, Initial tune seems fairly lean... Gonna have to sort that out. mental note: need rear tie rods!

Robert,

Fittings fell through. Fixed the hard lines and left em.

got some dust on it and spent some time with it. Waiting on firewall material to show up before putting the windows back in.

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10154159544195473&l=4154546307698838617

to do:
Skid plate
firewall
Battery box mounted permanently
install handbrake
bleed brakes
1 way valve for vacuum brakes
fix oil leak from turbo drain
fix leaking power steering hose
install windows
Seat belts
trim
stickers
Get it registered again
TEST

Is that an Audi plug and play vems? Just wondering why the serial connector is in the box like that. Only seen the boxes with just the 2 econoseal connectors.

It's not a plug and play. Thats the output for an LCD or other such display.
