totaly forgot...and I was late to get down there before registration started out....if it helps I remembered when I got to Olympia?!?

Adam seemed pretty happy with the new gearing, the car looked quicker when I got to see it, but he had some spinning issues, so maybe it is time for a steering quickener (AND A MOTOR).

Two golves lost axles at the start of day two, one lost a transmission later, Blakely Rolled, but I'm not sure why as of yet....he rolled at the same place someone else did and remained on his lid.

Duplesis ended up on his side in the SRT4

The Fucci had a fairly light damage roll and continued on day 3 with some lexan action

max attack results were:
1. #188 Havas/Pollard $1500
2. #42 Burmeister/Westrick Mazda Mazdaspeed3 $1200
3. #649 Crane/Grahn Honda CRX $1000
4. #591 Cizmas/Himes Volkswagon GTI $800
5. #41 Hoche-Mong/Brandt Volkswagon GTI $500

The hintz brothers were saying it was a bad quality header and they will be moving to a different manufacturer.

Jardevall was in a good car, third overall in the national wasn't too bad....

Probably to avoid taking away points/trophies/potential press coverage from genuine regional competitors.

It's nothing new.

Even Travis has done that at Rallye de Paris. And he wasn't the first by any means.

I did see him, many times in the Volvo and it was soooooo much more fun to watch and I could be wrong but I think he was closer to the times of the "big boys" back then.

An Evo is a nice contrast to the hordes of Subies, but it's not nearly as exciting to watch.

Carl Yardevall, hmm, didn't he drive a SAAB 99 turbo back in the day. Then a Volvo, Then an Evo 4 and now an Evo 8. And always did well.

I expect he has forgotton more than most of us will ever know about the pros and cons of various rally cars.

I bet it's not all that boring riding along with him in his Evo ;-)

Fast is fast, but what fast LOOKs like can be a lot different.

And I say Little Timmy probably would understand and get a lot more excited to keep pushing on his Corolla project, if he could catch more of Jardevall in the Volvo, just a larger version of what he's building, than making some jump of logic to watch an Evo, then go bang on his thang..

Well way back when I first talked to him it was non-turbo with just a 5.1 final drive a LSD, some headers and "I think we milled the head a couple of mm".

But Kalle statrted with the coolest rally car in the known world, after the Escort, the mighty Saab 96 V4!!!!

He's not as old as I am and I haven't forgotten tooooo too much.

And yeah he readily admits the faults of the variousa cars AND his choices at how to solve some of the stuff he has done or left undone.
Part of the problem is just having lust to work on the car when you're working on other cars a full week long, and we were making big round eye, head nodding 'ya know what I mean" statements, not questions about that.

Not at all, I's sure it'd be hilarious but I know he could go just as fast with a little better done version of his old 740. The old Swedes he talks to in da ol country are sometime a bit fawkin cornservative in some areas, and we can do better.
