Parc Ferme is where you have to leave the car for a specified time after the final MTC so you can't quickly toss your restrictor back in before the tech inspector comes to check it. And at some places (Rally Colorado) the Parc Ferme is like a car show with food and beer and is like a end of rally celebration. Or for those who have a bunch of stuff to do on the car when it ends, a really long wait to make for a really long night.
Supplemental regulations are the event specific rules that are published before the event that detail any special rules and event specific things like timelines and such. Grant Hughes |

If I run a stage flat out because I'm told the stage counts, I want my time. Even if I was to be slower than what the previous slower car was. I ran that time, I should have that time. I once had a similar situation in a rally sprint. We ran a very fast stage, top speed around 160 km/h a few time during the stage for me. I was tempted to shift 4th gear (yeah that was a long ratio tranny!) a few times but did not. We did the 2nd or 3rd time on that stage averaging around 120km/h. There was a rule saying that if 3 cars acheived over 100 km/h average, the stage had to be canceled... So it was, but only after every team had run it without any incident. That was a bummer since I've lost a few position because of that, but maybe it was just because of the wheel I bent in the first corner of the next stage... Francois |

Was bumbling around with Lengacher at the ORV park at Wild West in the freezing cold, I found that you talk more than my dad. In fact, I think Todd and I have discussed how amusing it would be to put the two of you in a room together. Hell, for all I know, as long as you've been around, this may have already happened. Is playing nude twister on shrooms in a turkish prison something I get to look forward to? |

No Grant, If you were to get lost, I wouldn't be able to witness the incidence. I am the kind of codriver that doesn't get lost so I wouldn't be there.
At Laughlin 03, after leaving service area, went fueling at the assigned refuel area, managed to lose a hanger on the way out and started dragging the exhaust. Instead of pulling over and trying to wire the exhaust on the right side of a ONE LANE road (and consequently risking a limb or two) I pulled 10 feet into a perpendicular road that was connecting to the main road that was on the route book. Wanna know what happened ? I got a 30 second penalty for leaving the prescribed route. Inquiries and protests didn't do jack shit. I even sent a protest to FIA in France ! Although it was an FIA event since it was not a part of an FIA Championship they said "Sogry your Championnat iz nout recognized by uz, zo go talk to ze people in ze US". To answer your question, if the SupReg says Parc Ferme and I see someone leave early I put the inquiry, If I know a Subrat GrN is using a twin SCROLL turbo I protest, if I hear a sequential box in a PGT car I protest. I am a rule freak, if I find out something illegal you can bet I will protest, plain and simple. That's how I learned from day one that's how I'll die. Don't wanna get protested, then don't cheat and know the rules. Cheers M.Samli Phoenix AZ Gaylant VR4 EVO III GSR (Stolen) Rallies are no place for traitors Edited 1 time(s). I'm always happy when I'm learnin'... I thought maybe there was a new design of turbo I'd never heard of!
I still don't know the rules well enough to know why a group N car can't use twin scroll. Are they limited to just factory turbos? or upgraded turbos but no twin scroll? or what exactly? For anyone one wondering what twin scroll turbos are it's a divided inlet port of the exhaust housing which helps the turbo spool faster. Lotta times it's hard to tell if it's twin scroll by outward appearance. So Mustafa being the MAN and all must have a good eye for this kinda thang... Can group N use anti lag computer tuning? -Michael LeCompte Michael LeCompte |

If the car got GrN homolgated with anti lag, yes, if the car got homologated GrN with a snow plow, yes, if the car got GrN homologated without something specificly, that something can not be used. You don't have to be Tha Man too tell the difference when the person using it was bragging about it prior to the rally. I have a few homologation fiches for a few cars, mostly for the cars I ran against in addition to cars I owned. Never hurts to be prepared for those who may potentially think they will not get caught.
Seriously, learn the rules so you don't get fucked. It is of course if they give a flying fuck at the rules they put up and it is of course if they apply the rules to everybody equally and evenly.
