Who could forget Sellholm Herr von Kessler. Obviously that's a brilliant choice because he makes virtually identical stuff---he is the person who advised me to begin making my stuff*----for approximately double the cost per unit and 5-8 times the freight..

Excellent choice---most people have far too much money laying around and the decision on where to put it just where they can walk in their rooms and maybe see the floor is a hard choice...


* Sellholm, in response to me asking the weight---him saying don't worry we just throw it on the truck and it's there in a day, and me suggesting that diesels don't like getting water in them...like when the truck drives off the end of the pier in Gotrborg and splashes into the North Sea its gonna get water in it.
He asked "where you calling from?

Now Wilson, knowing that there is a virtually IDENTICAL PRODUCT from a close source,
do you think it is realistic to suggest Sellhom knowing the cost is more that double---and then the airfreight, customs, customs brokerage charges?
Particularly when he suggested it was smarter to make things here?

Yeah, thought so.

I plan on getting JVAB with Subaru top mounts.

Tubular control arms, maybe. But castor adjustments in the control arms is the way to go I think.

Isn't MkII Scirocco same as MkI Golf aka Rare-bit? Yeah 99% certain it is.

And 4000 Quattro--yes did one sent and literally in the middle of 2, soon to be 3 more.

I've just started making a jig to make front control arms (passat length) for MK2/3, but if they're currently available anywhere, I'd just like to know more before proceeding.

If I build a car for myself, right now I think I'd build my current street car (BMW 318ti with S50 motor) into a Dave Kern/ Grant Hughes emulator.

Does anyone know of a source for front tubular a-arms for MK2/3?

I thought I remembered seeing some wimpy stuff for a MK2 a while ago, but it was for the "stance" market, didn't look strong enough for rally use.

Horribly horrible design.. If who ever fabbed these doesn't understand such a basic concept that jumped right out, then they can't very likely have tought any higher concepts out..
"Gusset' on centerline like : O-- is asking for failure if that design sees force going thisaway------>
It is a very common fault, but it IS a catastrophe waiting to occur..
I guess my personal feeling when i see a fancy web-site and fade in and lots of black background---I know somebody is making poor decisions.
