i was tinking the crank might be usefull in fixxing my ej22.
free plus the price of shipping ?

Ask him if he'll yank the crank.
What sorta guy wouldn't yank his crank if another Subie guy asked him?
I know how puny those cranks are so I'm surprised you Subie guys don't spend half you time yanking cranks for each other.

I wonder if that EJ22 crank I keep here is OK?
I use it as a demo crank on just why I would never own a Subie cause the thing is so so weenie even compared with my mighty V4 Ford cranks in the Saab. I wonder..the Subie main journals are narrower than my ancient V4 rod journals.. if fact they just about half the width of a Volvo rod journal...

What's wrong with the crank you have?

Want me to see if its still straight? It has not been taken care of--shop dirt and slime, and would almost certainly require "clean/mag/polish"

Very nice build. I love getting a lot done, with little budget smiling smiley

so You're from TX, you're in the south west region..

How about you try to win OL in the south west next year (2012)...

No. I believe you're mistaken. Texas is in Central Region. And the driver, Brianne Corn completed 10 coefficients for 200 points. Which was good enough for a Central Region championship. We are making plans to be in Michigan in October.

oh, Yep i was mistaken... I went off of : http://www.southwestrallyseries.com/ which says the Nocona Stomp Rally is part of the south west series, but rally-america says its central. confused smiley i thought everything on the internet was true.

Still, I would welcome her to come play in the south west for a season, But I totally understand us privateers need to budget wisely (choosing the closest series to our respective rally HQs)

I'd love to do the regional cup challenge in October, just not in the cards for this year, Hope you guys do great up there smiling smiley

Hope you guys make it out to LSPR!!! Thought maybe you'd be out of money for the year after building the STI and late entry cost of Pikes Peak! Hopefully some other OL people make the trip for the RRC.

We're going to sell a street car to get there. Anyone want a bone stock, black 2005 STi with 14k miles on it?

Nope. He did swap all the blue and silver interior parts for black. But Brianne has swapped all the stock interior back into the car. The previous owner was a neat-freak and rarely drove it and never abused it. Brianne has done some autocrosses in it, but that's it.

Yep. It lived most of it's life under two car covers inside a garage. Only taken out for car shows and sunny, weekend drives.

Now it's parked between the '95 Open Light sedan and another '05 STi prepared for hill climbs and roadracing. If it were a person I don't know if it would be happy thinking it might be next in line for a cage and suspension, or afraid of the torture and broken parts it would endure.

I think its probably jealous of the other 2 cars getting to live exciting lives.

I bought my STI from an older gentleman who kept it covered, inside of his garage, and only drove it on sunny days.

I asked him how the awd was in the snow and he said something like "I don't know, it comes with summer tires so i only drive it on warm dry days" thumbs down

I felt like i was liberating my car ... but now at 130K miles its really really beaten up. ski trips, dirt road drives, recce, rallyX, crashed it into a wall ... you know all the normal wear and tear stuff... uhm... *ducks*

How much are you looking to get out of the STI? My brother is considering buying a new STI but I know he likes the 05 body style too. Also how many autox's has it done?
