Looks good. Howza much ya paid? Or did they give you money to haul it away?/(I'm joking!!! )
I really like Le-gassy, Gaylant and obviously Sierra, all the same generation, and all big enough there's room, long enough to be more stable than what followed.....enough that I think its an actual advantage ---look what everybody did with all their later cars---they got back to these wheelbases.

Now if we did rallies on the type of narrow as hell, 40-55 mph average speed for the WRC elite, that'd be sumpin different. For us these are ---I strongly believe---better than the Impretzeled and Lancer .

When's the cage work starting?
Does it run or is the one with the roasted motor?

the engine is locked up tight
but i have 0 dollars in it at this time.

the groupe a cars of the early 90s are some of favorites too

the first goal is to make it a car again

the cage and other bits are down the road a couple months or so

Hope you guys make it out to LSPR!!! Thought maybe you'd be out of money for the year after building the STI and late entry cost of Pikes Peak! Hopefully some other OL people make the trip for the RRC.

We're going to sell a street car to get there. Anyone want a bone stock, black 2005 STi with 14k miles on it?

Who else is making it out to run the RRC in open light? Should be a good event to make it to either way.

Considering OL seems to have the strongest fields in the northeast and PNW I'd guess not many going to be at LSPR.

Between the engine bay and the exterior shots I'd be surprised if that shell is rally worthy. Might be more of a pain to deal with the rust than to just find a cleaner start point.

Grant, you spoiled mang. A few little blossoms of scabby rust on a FREE car.
Don't be a negative nelly.

That's encouraging. Carpet and sound deadening removal will be the final test. smiling smiley

And yeah, I would scrap a car here based on that amount of rust. My current Impreza is rust free and cost $200. You can find a 90-94 Legacy all day long rust free for under $1k in Colorado. West Virginia, yeah, you may have to work with what you can get.
