Bleeding volvo brakes; the front calipers have 3 nipples each. Get the book, you have to do them in the right order.

The ABS cars have the exact same calipers with only one nipple, and one hose, instead of the funky double circut stuff.

The calipers from ABS cars are good for rallycars if you are going to do a custom brake job, with a bias adjuster, which should be on the "later" end of your list.

Volvos have good brakes, I've done a few rallies now on stock non-ABS brakes with PBR metalic brake pads. Worked fine.

Bob, charge the cell phone and get some ciggies and call.
I'll tell you the best places for the boring standard biys, and what you can do like low budget..
ie a 6 puck ceramic clutch will give you around 30% more torque capacity.
Clutch net makes good discs---but I don't like their pressure plates.
You can call them directly or shop on-line, or for better price, call me.
I've been a Clutch Net dealer since 1985 or 86, so I get a fairly good deal.

That beast has the so called Dog Dish 32.5 lb flywheel with the 228mm disc.

Live with it for now, there's some gang of Metro Hipsters charging $325 for a lightened stock cast iron flywheel... poor innocents, they have a pretty web-site but they're kids in their 20s.
When its time get the JVAB Sooooper Bitchin STEEL flywheel with a choice of Saab 2300 16v "Aero" 240mm Cover and whatever spline you end up with in the T5 you should be scouring the world for the killer deal on.

The take up or engagement or whatever ya call it with the 6 puck thing is acceptable, no worse than any modern Japonaise manual car.

By the way, I much prefer the Haynes manual for READY REFERENCE, find an old one for $5. Those Bentley things are full of TONS of info on crap that you'll never need and lack important things you will need.

Alright, Sounds good, But It will have to be in a bit. I'm up nights and sleep days so its tough to talk to people sometimes.

Yeah, I usually run both manuals on cars I get deep into. I try to find a Bentley for cheap and then pick up haynes, so it works out.

Right? I really dig the color too.

So, Volvo guys, would anyone want a pretty clean, but old, interior, or should I just junk most of the stuff?

Grant, try to remember that name!

You are asking the wrong crowd about an interior! I bet most people on this board have one or two stashed somewhere. Ask on Turbobricks.

Stoked to see how this project comes together.

These guys

http://www.psccny.com/news

Click on "News"

They are cancel happy though, If a gnat breaks wind on the field they delay the event, so who knows how reliable it is.

Unfortunately, I may not be able to get that day off, Getting a Sunday off during the summer at my job is like pulling teeth.

Edit- And you are in the same position as I am, Only thing Ive checked off my list so far is "Get a Car"!

Yup, they cancelled it. Bummer. I used to live up there and every time I'd head over it was always cancelled. I guess too much rain... Oh well. We're lookin at stripping out or at least fixin the 242 up a little soon. Unfortunately the strut mount bushings? are cracking. I'm pretty useless mechanically which I'm sure will change soon. Only problem is getting the car up to friends garage to get the work done. New York ave in Brooklyn isn't exactly the best place to do car work.
